ABOUT
Greatrock Farm is a complex of three holiday cottages situated in an ancient woodland valley within Dartmoor National Park. There are plenty of garden spaces and woodland to explore as well as a games barn, croquet lawn and pétanque court to enjoy at leisure. We have a small herd of alpacas and are able to offer Alpaca walks - see more information below. We are in Hennock village which has a beautiful church and a pub with a spectacular view The Palk Arms. Enjoy walks straight from Greatrock following the public footpath through ancient forest to a river and beyond to local reservoirs Tottiford, Trenchford and Kennock.

OUR SERVICES
Devon Tea on arrival
Devon scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam await. We also provide a local paper, fresh flowers, breakfast pastries, milk, sugar, tea and coffee to welcome you.
Free Wifi
Available now in all three holiday cottages free wi-fi. As you cannot receive a mobile signal here you can set up wi-fi calling. Due to our rural location the wi-fi speed can be temperamental so please bear this in mind.
Garden & Grounds
Enjoy roaming the grounds, find a beautiful spot for a picnic or find a peaceful spot to watch the birds or read a good book. Have a BBQ or authentic pizza using the outdoor kitchen in the guest area.
Ideas & Information
A welcome book and Dartmoor map is available in your cottage to give you ideas about what to do while you are staying at Greatrock Farm. In the games barn you will find a variety of local interest books including one about Greatrock Mine (now disused).
Entertainment

We have a fantastic games barn with pool, table tennis, table football and darts. A home cinema system to watch your favourite films and a library of books, DVDs, CDs and board games. Outside enjoy a game of croquet or pétanque at leisure!
Dogs welcome!​
We can accommodate up to two well-behaved dogs in each holiday let. A welcome pack for your pet will be in your cottage to help him/her settle in. We have a fenced exercise paddock and a public footpath on site!

Visit the Resevoirs
Visit Tottiford, Trenchford and Kennick Resevoirs taking the public footpath directly from the grounds of Greatrock Farm.
Canonteign Falls
Home to England's highest manmade waterfall at over 70m tall, a magical natural paradise. Lovely cafe and gift shop also.
Bovey Tracey

The market town has a range of everyday and specialist shops as well as cafes, restaurants and pubs. Take the heritage trail to discover more.
Walking & Cycling
Plenty of public footpaths locally, including one you can join directly from Greatrock Farm. You can store bicycles and other equipment in our barn during your stay.
Alpaca Walk
​
Join us on an alpaca walk on tracks at Greatrock Farm and through ancient woodland. Enjoy drinks and homemade cakes up at our summerhouse and hand-feed the alpacas in their pen.
Horse Riding
There are many stables in and around Dartmoor. Enjoy a hack across the moorland to see this part of the world on horseback.
